Account Manager

The Account Manager works on one or more Adlucent client accounts, and is responsible for the development and execution of strategy, prioritization of tasks, and achievement of performance goals. S/he has an in-depth understanding of all aspects of paid search tactics and techniques, utilizing best practices in paid search to achieve the client’s performance goals, as well as employing standard online media metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure results, analyze data and optimize the account with a goal of continuous improvement.

The Account Manager collaborates with the client and an Adlucent Client Manager to determine performance goals and measurements of success for the account on a quarterly basis, as well as determining account activities. S/he conducts ongoing account optimization and testing to achieve these goals, providing both the client and the internal team with regular reporting and analysis, as well as suggesting opportunities to find incremental revenue and efficiency.

The Account Manager may have one or more team members on her/his account to execute on account activities, whom the Account Manager will mentor and train.

The Role:

  • Responsible for all aspects of managing a retailer’s paid search using Adlucent’s proprietary Deep Search™ software in addition to Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of campaigns; manage and optimize to meet client and internal performance goals.
  • Partner with client and internal team members to define, drive and execute effective optimization strategies and testing schemes designed to improve campaign KPIs.
  • Maintain strong communication with agency clients and internal team members to keep everyone informed of campaign status, scope or timeline changes and manage client expectations.
  • Properly monitor campaign performance against client’s objectives, making optimization recommendations as necessary.
  • Run weekly internal meetings to update on account performance, team activities and results, and any roadblocks; work with Senior Account Manager and Client Manager to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot issues.
  • Run weekly client call to update client on performance and activities and provide insights around the account and the client’s business.

Must have:

  • 3+ years experience in Search Engine Marketing, specifically managing PPC programs through Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
  • Strong track record of continuous positive account performance and achieving performance goals for customers
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Ability to communicate complex data with clarity and simplicity
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a quick learner; able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Solid communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Interest in technology-based solutions, including SaaS and software product development
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of statistics
  • Retail experience, including but not limited to: eCommerce; merchandising and promotions; multi-channel marketing; branding
  • Strong technical skills around website analytics tools, URLs (structure, parameters, encoding), Javascript and HTML

Account Supervisor

Account Supervisor 

The Account Supervisor (or Senior Account Manager) is responsible for the performance of a team such that they meet both internal (Adlucent Revenue) and external (Client Revenue) goals, as well as the management of the members within the team. A SAM must balance the day to day responsibilities of paid search account management for their own account(s), the people management responsibilities for their team, and departmental duties and special projects.

The Account Supervisor is a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge of account management execution best practices and mentoring and developing skill and knowledge in less experienced team members. As such, the Account Supervisor is often called upon to communicate about more complex and/or in-depth Adlucent solutions both to their team and to the broader Account Management team.

Furthermore, the Account Supervisor provides a critical level of management within the Agency by being a vocal advocate for both their team and the larger Account Management team, and escalating issues to leadership.

The Account Supervisor reports to an Account Director.

  • Highly skilled with Paid Search Management Platform(s)
  • Experience effectively managing projects and prioritizing time appropriately with the team, clients, vendors and other agencies
  • Experience managing people and a willingness to tackle the unique challenges this can bring
  • Proactive mindset and strong awareness for potential pitfalls related to both account management and people management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable multi-tasking across a variety of activities on a regular basis
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and be a team player with both client and account teams

Content Marketing Strategist

Content Marketing Strategist

The Content Marketing Strategist will be responsible for revamping our inbound marketing strategy. You will develop a strong understanding of the needs and interests of our potential clients, including their biggest pain points, where they go for trusted resources, and how they research and select new agency partners. From here, you will work to develop and deliver compelling content that drives action from potential clients and showcases Adlucent’s expertise in the digital space. The Content Marketing Strategist will be metrics-oriented, always learning what topics and channels perform best and trying new ways to improve response rates.

The Role:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our business including our capabilities, differentiators, best practices, and client success stories by collaborating with members of the services, marketing, sales, and executive leadership teams.
  • Attend and report at weekly client services “stand up,” marketing, and sales funnel meetings.
  • Maintain a constant pulse on what’s happening in the retail and paid search industries and be able to provide a perspective as it relates to our business.
  • Build an inbound marketing strategy that leverages various forms of new and repurposed content to grow our funnel of marketing qualified leads.
  • Propose a budget for content development, distribution and tracking services to the Director of Marketing and be able to manage to the budget provided.
  • Work with internal and external experts to develop content for white papers, webinars, our website, email, contributed articles, customer case studies, press releases, award pitches, our blog, social channels, ads, RFPs, and more.
  • Work directly with creative resources to turn copy into well designed and packaged materials.
  • Educate the sales and client services teams about the launch of new resources, including how they can help assist with promotion and the best ways to follow up with responses.
  • Measure the performance of content (downloads, shares, views, clicks, etc.), and lead gen programs, continuously testing and trying new ways to optimize performance.

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience developing compelling, effective B2B marketing content for the purpose of lead generation and awareness
  • 2-3 years of experience working in the paid search and/or retail industries
  • Experience with marketing automation tools like Hubspot, CRMs like Salesforce, Wordpress, Social (Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn), Google Adwords and Analytics
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, and multiple contributors, at one time
  • Exceptional communication, written and presentation skills

Nice to have:

  • 1-2 years of digital marketing experience
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
