Account Manager

The Account Manager works on one or more Adlucent client accounts, and is responsible for the development and execution of strategy, prioritization of tasks, and achievement of performance goals. S/he has an in-depth understanding of all aspects of paid search tactics and techniques, utilizing best practices in paid search to achieve the client’s performance goals, as well as employing standard online media metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure results, analyze data and optimize the account with a goal of continuous improvement.

The Account Manager collaborates with the client and an Adlucent Client Manager to determine performance goals and measurements of success for the account on a quarterly basis, as well as determining account activities. S/he conducts ongoing account optimization and testing to achieve these goals, providing both the client and the internal team with regular reporting and analysis, as well as suggesting opportunities to find incremental revenue and efficiency.

The Account Manager may have one or more team members on her/his account to execute on account activities, whom the Account Manager will mentor and train.

The Role:

  • Responsible for all aspects of managing a retailer’s paid search using Adlucent’s proprietary Deep Search™ and BuyerPath™ software in addition to Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of campaigns; manage and optimize to meet client and internal performance goals.
  • Partner with client and internal team members to define, drive and execute effective optimization strategies and testing schemes designed to improve campaign KPIs.
  • Maintain strong communication with agency clients and internal team members to keep everyone informed of campaign status, scope or timeline changes and manage client expectations.
  • Properly monitor campaign performance against client’s objectives, making optimization recommendations as necessary.
  • Run weekly internal meetings to update on account performance, team activities and results, and any roadblocks; work with Senior Account Manager and Client Manager to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot issues.
  • Run weekly client call to update client on performance and activities and provide insights around the account and the client’s business.

Must have:

  • 3+ years experience in Search Engine Marketing, specifically managing PPC programs through Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
  • Strong track record of continuous positive account performance and achieving performance goals for customers
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Ability to communicate complex data with clarity and simplicity
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a quick learner; able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Solid communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Interest in technology-based solutions, including SaaS and software product development
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of statistics
  • Retail experience, including but not limited to: eCommerce; merchandising and promotions; multi-channel marketing; branding
  • Strong technical skills around website analytics tools, URLs (structure, parameters, encoding), Javascript and HTML

S/he will possess a passion for digital marketing and shopper analytics, selling the value it holds to large retailers. The Sales Director enjoys engaging with retail clients to overcome challenges related to future technology. The person in this role is not intimidated by ambiguity but is one who will leverage ambiguous situations in pursuit of personal and professional success. S/he is an articulate, creative and relatable sales professional, with extensive knowledge and experience in selling solutions.

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, MBA preferred
  • Seven to fifteen years of sales experience in solutions selling, having worked in the PPC or digital advertising industry
  • A deep understanding all phases of a sales cycle, ranging from approach to close, with demonstrated ability to close deals
  • Demonstrated success in communicating complex data with clarity and simplicity
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical aptitude

People & Culture Generalist 

The People & Culture (P&C) Generalist works closely with the Senior Director People & Culture to assess, implement and evaluate HR systems and programs which drive employee engagement. Allowing an atypical level of autonomy, Adlucites (employees) are afforded a level of trust that fosters an incredible culture. The P&C Generalist will help to drive strategies related to recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, training and policy administration.

The Role:

  • Reviews applications and screens, interviews and recruits job applicants to fill entry-level, professional and technical job openings
  • Conducts new-hire orientation to onboard all new employees

  • Coordinates and evaluates employee recognition programs
  • May facilitate and/or provide training to Adlucites
  • Additional Human Resources related projects and miscellaneous duties, as assigned

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Two to five years experience in human resource management
  • Functional expertise in recruiting, including internet and direct sourcing, building pipelines, analyzing metrics, simplifying processes, and measuring quality of hires
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws
  • Self-starter qualities, high intellect, good communication skills, interpersonal skills, and strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize competing tasks simultaneously

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist 

Targeted Start Date: June 2015

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialists work on one or more of our retailer accounts, providing foundational support across a wide range of activities on our PPC campaigns, including production, performance monitoring, testing, and reporting, with a goal of exceeding client expectations and delivering impressive performance results. In this position, the SEM Specialist receives an introduction to the basics of search engine marketing, as well as online retail and e-commerce, marketing performance goals, production requirements, and reporting needs. The SEM Specialist works closely with a Senior Account Manager, receiving instruction on PPC campaign creation, production and account management methodologies, and an understanding of KPIs.

The Role:

  • Daily management of a client’s online ad campaigns on all major search engines using both search engine tools and Adlucent’s proprietary Deep Search™ software.

  • Develop and execute data-based testing and account experiments to optimize campaigns, working with clients to determine best strategies for their accounts.

  • Work with your account team to find new opportunities for your client, including areas of growth and optimization.

Must have:

  • 0-2 years relevant experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Ability to analyze high-level data to translate problems into solutions
