Account Manager

The Account Manager works on one or more Adlucent client accounts, and is responsible for the development and execution of strategy, prioritization of tasks, and achievement of performance goals. S/he has an in-depth understanding of all aspects of paid search tactics and techniques, utilizing best practices in paid search to achieve the client’s performance goals, as well as employing standard online media metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure results, analyze data and optimize the account with a goal of continuous improvement.

The Account Manager collaborates with the client and an Adlucent Client Manager to determine performance goals and measurements of success for the account on a quarterly basis, as well as determining account activities. S/he conducts ongoing account optimization and testing to achieve these goals, providing both the client and the internal team with regular reporting and analysis, as well as suggesting opportunities to find incremental revenue and efficiency.

The Account Manager may have one or more team members on her/his account to execute on account activities, whom the Account Manager will mentor and train.

The Role:

  • Responsible for all aspects of managing a retailer’s paid search using Adlucent’s proprietary Deep Search™ and BuyerPath™ software in addition to Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of campaigns; manage and optimize to meet client and internal performance goals.
  • Partner with client and internal team members to define, drive and execute effective optimization strategies and testing schemes designed to improve campaign KPIs.
  • Maintain strong communication with agency clients and internal team members to keep everyone informed of campaign status, scope or timeline changes and manage client expectations.
  • Properly monitor campaign performance against client’s objectives, making optimization recommendations as necessary.
  • Run weekly internal meetings to update on account performance, team activities and results, and any roadblocks; work with Senior Account Manager and Client Manager to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot issues.
  • Run weekly client call to update client on performance and activities and provide insights around the account and the client’s business.

Must have:

  • 3+ years experience in Search Engine Marketing, specifically managing PPC programs through Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
  • Strong track record of continuous positive account performance and achieving performance goals for customers
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Ability to communicate complex data with clarity and simplicity
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a quick learner; able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Solid communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Interest in technology-based solutions, including SaaS and software product development
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of statistics
  • Retail experience, including but not limited to: eCommerce; merchandising and promotions; multi-channel marketing; branding
  • Strong technical skills around website analytics tools, URLs (structure, parameters, encoding), Javascript and HTML

Client Manager

The Client Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and success of our clients' businesses. Client Managers have a focus on building new and maintaining existing client relationships with mid- to senior-level contacts, allowing the team to proactively identify client opportunities or risks and effectively respond to these client needs. They own the client relationship beginning at the close of the sale and are responsible for setting expectations during the on-boarding process, managing client expectations throughout the partnership and renewing client accounts.

Client Managers also lead ongoing client strategy discussions with a strong focus on business analysis, strategic and financial modeling, differentiated digital experiences, key digital capabilities and/or road mapping. They should develop an in-depth understanding of the client's vertical and products, integrated marketing channels, competition, and goals. Working closely with both the client and the account management team, Client Managers develop and execute strategies that help clients realize their revenue potential and expand the impact and implications of demand driven paid search insights.

The Role:

  • Own senior level client relationships and skillfully navigate issues and roadblocks that come with managing a large, complex client relationship
  • Responsible for client retention by proactively identifying client risks or opportunities and managing his/her client teams to effectively respond to client needs
  • Coordinates and manages strategic client communications with key client contacts, working to identify, understand and drive to resolve client issues
  • Remain up-to-date on relevant news, best practices and trends within the marketing, media, and technology marketplace, with an emphasis on retail and eCommerce
  • Shape client utilization of Adlucent proprietary software, including adoption by customers whose needs are met with current offerings, and identifying requirements for customers whose needs are not met
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop content that demonstrates recognized thought leadership and points of view (including contributions to blog posts, white papers, press releases, case studies) on digital marketing strategies in retail
  • Represent Adlucent or coordinate speaking opportunities with client(s) at industry events

Must have:

  • 4-8 years of experience in client relationship, consulting, account supervisor or client services management position(s) with proven ability to maintain and grow large client accounts
  • Successful track record in creating, maintaining, and growing relationships with senior and C-level executives, with experience developing solutions, delivering value, and generating results
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to clearly and effectively articulate business and marketing strategies to the senior and executive-level team members
  • Experience in effectively managing, mentoring, and motivating a team to create a positive work environment
  • Broad understanding of marketing services and processes, including online, multi-channel and integrated marketing strategies
  • Interest in technology-based solutions, including SaaS and software product development
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including an open, respectful and supportive attitude focused on creating positive experiences with both external and internal teams. The CM must be credible with executives and approachable/reassuring to mid-level clients and team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Nice to have:

  • Retail experience, including but not limited to: eCommerce; merchandising and promotions; multi-channel marketing; branding
  • SEM / PPC experience or other digital marketing experience
  • MBA or Masters in a related field

Production Assistant

The Production Assistant works to support the ongoing growth and maintenance of our clients’ pay-per-click campaigns. Chief responsibilities include keyword research and identification, search query mining, keyword and ad buildout, product feed optimization, and quality assurance for a variety of clients in the retail space. Candidates should be able to work quickly and efficiently to produce high volumes of output while maintaining high quality standards to meet client goals.

Production Assistants are trained on all key aspects of campaign production and will work directly with account management teams to meet goals.

This is a part-time, remote position, with the possibility of full-time hours based on business need. Must attend initial training sessions in-office upon hire to train on production tools and techniques. This is a contract position available for part-time hours.

The Role:

  • Develop new keywords, ad groups and campaigns based on requests from account teams.
  • Optimize a retailer’s product feed, used for Product Listing Ads, by re-writing the title and description of products to be advertised in order to increase their visibility on the search engines.

  • Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
