Account Manager

The Account Manager works on one or more Adlucent client accounts, and is responsible for the development and execution of strategy, prioritization of tasks, and achievement of performance goals. S/he has an in-depth understanding of all aspects of paid search tactics and techniques, utilizing best practices in paid search to achieve the client’s performance goals, as well as employing standard online media metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure results, analyze data and optimize the account with a goal of continuous improvement.

The Account Manager collaborates with the client and an Adlucent Client Manager to determine performance goals and measurements of success for the account on a quarterly basis, as well as determining account activities. S/he conducts ongoing account optimization and testing to achieve these goals, providing both the client and the internal team with regular reporting and analysis, as well as suggesting opportunities to find incremental revenue and efficiency.

The Account Manager may have one or more team members on her/his account to execute on account activities, whom the Account Manager will mentor and train.

The Role:

  • Responsible for all aspects of managing a retailer’s paid search using Adlucent’s proprietary Deep Search™ software in addition to Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of campaigns; manage and optimize to meet client and internal performance goals.
  • Partner with client and internal team members to define, drive and execute effective optimization strategies and testing schemes designed to improve campaign KPIs.
  • Maintain strong communication with agency clients and internal team members to keep everyone informed of campaign status, scope or timeline changes and manage client expectations.
  • Properly monitor campaign performance against client’s objectives, making optimization recommendations as necessary.

  • Run weekly client call to update client on performance and activities and provide insights around the account and the client’s business.

Must have:

  • 3+ years experience in Search Engine Marketing, specifically managing PPC programs through Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
  • Strong track record of continuous positive account performance and achieving performance goals for customers
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Ability to communicate complex data with clarity and simplicity
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a quick learner; able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Solid communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs

Recruitment:

The Senior Director of Business Development is responsible for establishing, managing and overseeing strategic solution selling (contracts ranging from $200k-$1M+/annually). S/he focuses on meeting annual targets for new and growth business, identifying, building and penetrating new non-retail and CPG verticals. S/he will incorporate new solutions capabilities, respond to integrated RFPs and likely upsell existing clients.

S/he has a depth of experience in paid search, product ads, programmatic/display and Amazon resulting in high annual deal solution selling.

The Role:

  • Models a strategic approach to solutions selling and positions the company’s solutions, professional sales skills, and overall effectiveness as best in class.

  • Reviews and analyzes data including the growth of the pipeline, progression of opportunities through the stages of the sales process, closed opportunities, and lost opportunities.
  • Completes and submits reporting to the CCO regarding performance, forecasts and expense management.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of all Adlucent solutions and competitors.
  • Creates and delivers presentations that clearly communicate and position and benefits of Adlucent, targeting the message to the specific audience and their needs.
  • Demonstrates understanding and complexities of customer buying behavior and purchasing processes specifically in the retail space.
  • Drives to close sales by addressing client concerns, demonstrating empathy, and consistently moving the client toward commitment.
  • Ensures operational excellence, including adherence to company process and policies.
  • Travels extensively to pitch and close deals.

Must Have:

  • Extensive PPC and PLA experience as well as other digital marketing channels with a track record of building long-term relationships
  • 10+ years of strategic business operations, strategy, corporate development, and/or general sales management experience.
  • Prior work experience and working knowledge in the digital industry, ideally with deep understanding of particular verticals their respective key market dynamics.
  • High impact communication skills (written and verbal) with distinction in driving discussions with senior executives and across sister agencies.
  • Adheres to sales best practices, develops and ensures recommendations and is consistent and effectively implements throughout the sales organization.
  • Leads by example through his/her philosophy and approach.
  • Experience in the collection, synthesis, and communication of analytics and insights to drive strategies and decision making to shape and drive sales and solutions-selling initiatives.
  • Experience working at executive level to shape and align strategic agenda.
  • Strong client & partner contracting and negotiation skills required.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams both internally and externally to explain, understand, manage, and implement complex partnerships and projects.
